Last Call Oktoberfest FBW 32 Lechfeld

On 09/20/2012 at Fighter Bomber Wing 32 the last Oktoberfest took place before the release of the squadron in March 2013. For the occasion, were also invited back many friend of Wing. On Thursday morning we took a bus from the parking area to the runway of the air base where we chose a beautiful location at the end of the Runway 21. At 8:45 were heard the first engines and the air base fire brigade positioned themselves along the runway short time later, the first Tornados of the morning wave taxing to the runway 21. Along for the ride this time was also a Learjet of the Company for aerial target operations (GFD). At 9:00 clock it was called then "Cleared for Take Off!" ...
Between the Take offs a Tornado IDS with the tactical markings 45 +68 arrived of his very last flight, the 45 +68 construction number GS212/4268 will participate as part of the high quality maize (HWT) cannibalized at Lechfeld and Scrapped. But not only the 45 +68 had her last flight today, but also four crew members of the squadron.
Against 11:00lt the first guests arrived from England, 2x BAE Hawk T1 of the RAF Hawk Role Demo Team...
and the crew of the Tiger Jet enjoyed their Last Flight
Shortly after Lechfelder Tigers landing, the 45 +85 of the Reconnaissance Wing 51 from Jagel, Schleswig-Holstein (the future home of the remaining Lechfelder ECR Tornados) arrived.

Repeatedly imposing the CH-53 of the Middle transport helicopters Regiment 25 based in Laupheim, are among the other German visitors, the FBW 33 which has send a Tornado IDS to Lechfeld, the Fighter Wing 74 based at Neuburg also sent a Eurofighter and the LTG 61 send to us a Bell UH-1D and a C-160D Transall just to name a few..
